Partner Spotlight: Introducing April Matsui, Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Consultant
We have invited our partner and fellow collaborator, April Matsui to introduce herself in this week’s blog. We at Koné Consulting look forward to future projects with April, and the efficiencies and improved outcomes she will bring to our team and clients. Her business process improvement work provides value to government agencies and private companies looking for help driving their key initiatives forward.
My name is April Matsui, the President and founder of PIM Savvy, Inc., a Seattle-based consulting company known for producing “results-based” work for the government and private companies. PIM Savvy provides organizations the outcomes they desire to become more effective through process improvement and streamlining operations. I am excited to share insights and expertise from my professional experiences through my recent partnership with Koné Consulting.
Some of my recent successes include projects in:
• Digital Transformation
• Quality Assurance
• E-Learning
• Process Improvement
• Data-Driven Business Intelligence
I have enjoyed my work on government projects for the City of Seattle and Sound Transit in addition to 27+ years in the banking industry. My expertise includes but isn’t limited to managing portfolios, product profitability, quality assurance, vendor management, project implementations and leading/motivating teams to exceed goals.
I grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in marketing followed by an MBA from Roosevelt University. I am a member of the PMI-Puget Sound Chapter and I am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
I enjoy giving back to the community by mentoring entrepreneurs through Greater Seattle SCORE. I also recently volunteered to be the 2020 “Cookie Mom” for our daughter’s Daisy Scout Troop. It brings back memories of my Girl Scout days.
I live in Seattle, WA with my husband Marc, who is a Physician Assistant specializing in cancer care. We have two young children and our weeks are busy with music lessons, swim practices and scouting.
I love being outdoors whether it be attending a local festival, taking the children to a new playground or going for a walk. My indoor pursuits include water aerobics and going to movies as a family. My husband and I also enjoy going out for sushi and finding new tasting menus around town.
What I look forward to most about working with the Koné Consulting team is the opportunity to face new challenges and settings with a group of folks with diverse experiences and a passion for excellence. I am pleased to be working with some of the best in Government Contracting.
