Partner Spotlight: Maluhia Creative

We are honored to be featuring Maluhiaokalani Shaw, creator of Maluhia Creative, for this edition’s Partner Spotlight. 

Maluhiaokalani, meaning Peace of Heavens, has been a professional photographer for nearly 20 years and has experience ranging from events to selling art pieces. This sparked inspiration in her when she decided to put her photos on stone one day and from there started her own business, Maluhia Creative (then Maluhia Photo Art), where she engraves stone pendants, creates photo cards, enlargements, and now koa wood pendants, too. More recently, Maluhiaokalani went back to school to further develop her digital video skills and began incorporating all mediums into her business, focusing on spreading peace through work with her clients, who are as unique as her projects (such as having the opportunity to edit a feature length documentary!). Her work, specifically her storytelling, is influenced by sharing insight on the Hawaiian culture. She is currently working with a client on creating short videos with beautiful messaging based in the Hawaiian culture.

In her free time, she enjoys learning more about Hawaiian language and culture, as well camping and relaxing in nature. She reminds us at Koné of one her of her favorite Hawaiian proverbs:
