A change of seasons

The days grow longer as we approach the summer solstice, which falls on June 20, 2021, and marks the official beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. As with any seasonal change, this is a good opportunity to reflect on the last quarter of life and make room for new energy, whether that be something as small as purging your closet or perhaps a much larger life decision.

For me, part of this seasonal change includes my decision to leave my position as Graphic Designer at Koné Consulting (KC). I started working for KC in January 2019, during my gap year between graduating from Edmonds College and applying to the University of Washington, Bothell. Now, over two years later, I’ve just completed my junior year as a double major in Design and Communications and I feel so fortunate to have been able to be a part of KC’s Communication and Design teams as I simultaneously studied the same concepts in school.

It has been a pleasure to grow alongside my colleagues and really become part of the KC family. Thank you, team, for introducing me to a continuous improvement mindset, remembering to always intersect joy with work, and for showing me how to extend grace to others and myself. As I enter my senior year, I am taking time to slow down and enjoy whatever the next season of my life brings.
