Papa Champion: A fundraiser for girls schooling in rural areas

We are reopening our Papa Champion fundraiser alongside Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders, WEL NGO. Papa Champion is a project aimed to inspire people to donate scholarships for girls in Côte d’Ivoire (CI) to go to school. About one in four girls in CI complete high school, and even fewer attend primary school.

UNICEF found that girls who completed high school had on average 25% higher salaries than those that did not. WEL NGO’s goal is to tackle this disparity by supporting young girls through education, guiding them through entrepreneurship, and eventually financial stability.

In 2021 and 2022, hundreds of girls received education scholarships from WEL NGO as well as school supplies in order to attend. This year, their main goal is to raise $5,000 dollars to supply the Tona Girls School in Côte d’Ivoire with school desks and tables. They are currently having class on the concrete floor!
