St. Genevieve Fundraiser Update

Hello, friends.

Our tour group had a lovely visit to the St. Genevieve Welcome Center on October 20th. The transformation since 2021 has been incredible!

What was before cramped quarters and overcrowding, is now a beautiful, secure compound with separate dorms for the boys and girls, a large dining hall, and a newly constructed building that will serve as a kitchen. Also, to raise funds to support themselves, the older residents are raising livestock, including goats, chickens, guinea fowl, and fish (in farming ponds). The girl’s dorm even has a kitty with her own little space just inside the door.

While we were there, Alicia shared the blog posts we’ve sent out over the last few weeks spotlighting some of the young adults who have been, and continue to be, served by the orphanage. They really enjoyed seeing their pictures and stories online.

This year we raised $1,075 AND were able to deliver medication, feminine supplies, dental care items, and soccer balls to St. Genevieve. Everyone was appreciative and asked for us to share their thanks. We want to share a very special thank you to all of you who have donated to this cause!
