Make sure to add a caption and lightbox your images in the image editor. Go to the “Design” tab and scroll down to “Enable Lightbox”

Once you have a spacer placed, hover between blocks and your cursor will change into a vertical line with a horizontal double-arrow icon. Once you see this icon, click and drag to increase the space of either block. This allows you to get more specific on how much room a block will take up.
