This year our calendar is designed to offer hope – featuring principles and proof of progress from Steven Pinker’s book, “Enlightenment Now” - with artwork from Todd Clarke, of Todd’s Got A Pen – whom we engaged to create a visual one-pager of the book (available for download here).
Recently we asked Todd more about his quest to help businesses sound real, not fake, with their messaging. As a consultant and writer, Todd’s gift is helping his client’s readers ‘get it’ - sooner, faster, better.
“People develop trust and buy our services when they understand us immediately, clearly, and simply,” explains Todd.
How?
“I write web pages to clearly explain a business’s services. In plain English, no jargon, no brain translation. Even your kid will understand what expensive problems you solve for people,” he said. And as we’ve discovered, he also creates Visual One Pagers to help people remember the high points of presentations, decks and books. “Enlightenment Now” is the third book Todd has translated into a Visual One Pager for us; the other two are “$2.00 A Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America,” and “Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much.”
Todd is grateful doing what he’s built for—working & living according to his values, which are: be clear, be real, be bold. And his mission: be so clear readers ‘get it’ right away.
When he’s not creating—he’s hanging out with his twin 10-year-old boys. Playing, biking, wrestling, tossing frisbees, baseballs, footballs, kicking soccer balls and practicing moon-walking while watching Michael Jackson videos.
