King County is looking for Community Navigators

The pandemic has caused many hardships, but communities of color have been hit extra hard by COVID-19. King County (Seattle area) has realized this and is taking action by creating the Community Navigator Program. A Community Navigator is a trusted person who represents their community by attending meetings with Public Health staff and communicating the needs of the community, while also making sure that important information reaches their own community. They also assist their community in navigating resources and making sure those who need resources and assistance can get it.

If you or someone you know wants to be a Community Navigator, you can apply on the King County website. The deadline for applications is June 30th.

If you have any questions regarding the Community Navigators please contact Allen Cantara (allen.cantara@kingcounty.gov) as there is no pre-application conference.

Thank you for considering being a support for other community members!
