Côte d'Ivoire Holiday Fundraising

As 2022 is coming to its end, we’d like to wish you happy holidays and a new year full of joy, from everyone in the KC team. In the spirit of giving, we’d also like to send out a reminder about our fundraising efforts for the organizations we partner with in Côte d’Ivoire.
We’re happy to announce that we’re still raising funds for the St. Genevieve welcome center in Katiola, and this round of donations will help them move into their brand-new facility. All that’s left before they move in is electrical wiring, so our goal is to help the kids celebrate Christmas in their new home. Any additional donations to St. Genevieve will go towards meals and gifts for the staff and kids at their holiday party.
This year we’re also glad to be working with WEL in their Papa Champion project. Papa Champion is a project aimed to inspire people, particularly men, to donate scholarships for girls to go to school. In addition to scholarships, they’re also collecting donations to finish renovating a school in Daloa, a town 125 miles southwest of Katiola. Any donations to WEL will go towards building materials as well as a second toilet for their restroom.

Those who look forward to receiving the KC holiday calendar every new year may be disappointed to hear that we’ve decided not to send our calendars this year. Instead, we are pledging the $1,000 that we would have spent printing and shipping our calendars towards donations for our partners. Our fundraising goal is to match the $1,000 that we’re pledging, for a total of $2,000 towards St. Genevieve and WEL.
