Introducing Justine
Hello, friends.
If you are a new subscriber, Koné Consulting has been fundraising for the St. Genevieve Welcome Center in Côte d’Ivoire, Africa. You can learn more about the orphanage and our fundraiser here.
To date, we have reached $725 in donations. We will be delivering cash and supplies in-person to Father Germain during our October visit. Thank you to everyone who has given so generously!
Today, we’d like to introduce Justine.
Justine is 20 and is originally from Boundiali in the north of Cote d’Ivoire. After the death of her parents in 2008, she was kicked out of her dad’s family house so her maternal aunt invited her to live with her family. Unfortunately, her uncle rejected her, concerned that she would “contaminate” his family and she ended up on the street. Her aunt didn’t know what to do, so she went to the Catholic church for help. This is how Justine ended up with Father Germaine, who has become her surrogate father. Living at St. Genevieve has been very good for her. Justine is currently in high school and she plans to become a teacher. Justine would benefit from school supplies. She thanks us for all of the donations.
Your donations to the St. Genevieve Welcome Center provide direct support to youth who would otherwise likely be homeless. Are you able to make a small donation today?
