We see you
As we’ve been transitioning our in-person client work – presentations, workshops and trainings - to online forums, what stands out most is our clients’ resilience and make-do/can-do attitudes. So many who are called to serve others in their community are accustomed to making do with less, seeking creative solutions, and weathering on despite obstacles. We see you. We appreciate your hard work – and are proud of you, our clients and colleagues who are in the trenches during our nation’s COVID-19 crisis. We humbly thank you for continuing to deliver important benefits.
The Long Road Ahead
Recently, I reflected on how little we have had to change our way of working at Koné Consulting because we’ve always been virtual. Even so, as we are called to serve our clients, most need to postpone the work we are doing together so they can manage the ever-changing situation in which we all find ourselves.
Like most small businesses in the U.S., we are now facing some very bleak financial times. I hope to avoid lay-offs by refocusing staff on the work we can do; tightening our belts and cutting back where we can (although we run a lean machine); and asking my staff for patience with some late payrolls. Along with many small business owners, I have also spent numerous hours over the past few days on the SBA Disaster Loan Assistance website trying to get an application submitted. The site is overwhelmed, to say the least, and times-out and errors a lot. (I think I’m about 80% complete - but can’t get the IRS Form 4506-T to download!) I notice there will be maintenance tonight and I’m hoping that gets fixed.
Please let us know if we may be of service at this time. We are offering a 30% discount on our Koné Express Services and I am available as a coach or facilitator of on-line meetings. Above all, be well.
