Introducing Mahnur
I’m Mahnur Mohsin Khan (she/her), more commonly known as ‘Noor.’ My name essentially means the moon’s light. Having recently finished my MPA’s first year at the Evans School of Public Policy - I’ve started as a research associate at Koné Consulting. I’m so honored to have joined the team.
My passion for public service stems from early on, having both parents deeply involved with the public health sector in Pakistan. Shortly after my undergraduate degree I briefly served as the communications intern for USAID’s Maternal and Neo Natal Child Health Care Program in Pakistan. After joining graduate school at the University of Washington, I worked as a legislative aide to a Seattle City council member.
Originally from Pakistan (born and raised), I moved to Seattle about four years ago and have fallen in love with its beauty and people. So, it is safe to say that Seattle has become my home away from home. I’m a mom to two beautiful boys, a foodie, and a nerd. In my free time you might catch me exploring the Pacific Northwest’s beauty with a hot cup of vanilla latte.
