St. Genevieve Fundraiser - Introducing Odette

Hello, friends.

If you are a new subscriber, Koné Consulting has been fundraising for the St. Genevieve Welcome Center in Côte d’Ivoire, Africa. You can learn more about the orphanage and our fundraiser here.

To date, we have reached $975 in donations. We will be delivering cash and supplies in-person to Father Germain during our October visit. Thank you to everyone who has given so generously!

Today, we’d like to introduce Odette.

After the death of her parents, Odette went to live with her grandmother in the local village. Her grandmother took her to another of her daughters (Odette’s aunt) who owns a restaurant so she could work. The aunt was arrested by the police for child labor. The aunt got in touch with Father Germaine and arranged for Odette to enter the Welcome Center in 2014. After she arrived at the Welcome Center, all of her needs were met.  Odette is currently in high school and would like to study to become a French teacher. Odette would benefit from school supplies.
